Kochchikade police has arrested a suspect with 5670 kg of fish unfit for human consumption near Toppuwa Bridge.
The police said that they were found based on information that these fish were being transported from Halawata to Negombo in a lorry.
The 53-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today (01).
