Agnipath Yojana

Protests are going on in 13 states against ‘Agnipath Yojana’. In many states including Bihar, miscreants have set fire to many trains. In view of this performance, the Railways has canceled many trains even today. In view of the protest, the Railways has decided to partially cancel a total of 700 trains, including 673 that left today.
Train services have been canceled in Bihar from 4 am to 8 am. At the same time, 718 miscreants have been arrested in Bihar violence so far. 138 FIRs have been registered.
Protesters torched Taregana railway station in Bihar and vandalized Ludhiana railway station in Punjab during the bandh on Saturday. At the same time, roads and rail tracks were also blocked in many states including West Bengal, Haryana, Rajasthan, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. In view of the agitation, the Railways had canceled 369 trains on Saturday, including 210 mail and express and 159 local passenger trains. Due to the agitation, the railways has suffered property worth crores.
