Tamil Nadu: DMK passes resolution on Dravidian model training to prepare 'soldiers against communalism'

The district secretaries of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on May 28 resolved to organise a Dravidian model workshop to train the youth, IT and women’s wing to protect Tamil Nadu from communal forces. The party passed a resolution that the party cadre would work continuously in the state and prepare ‘soldiers’ through Dravidian model training to save the people from communal forces.

The party posted a statement on Twitter and said, “IT, women and youth wing of DMK party should be trained across the state to nurture the self-respect of Tamils with history and policies.”

DMK to organise Dravidian model workshop to fight communal forces

Posted on Twitter by the party’s IT Wing Secretary Dr TR B Raja after DMK started imparting Dravidian model training to its workers. The resolution states that the party workers will work tirelessly to save the state from anti-national forces. The party has specifically called meetings to discuss incidents of communal violence or religious disturbances in the past.

Besides this, the resolution also mentioned that efforts would be made to identify anti-national forces trying to sow the seeds of religious unrest in Tamil Nadu and party workers would work towards preventing recurrence of such incidents.

Tamil Nadu CM advocates for education in mother tongue

Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday said educational institutions should promote education in mother tongue and the schemes should be named in Tamil language.

Inaugurating a school here, Stalin appealed to the management of such private institutions to promote education in the mother tongue. Also, he said that the schemes prepared by the schools should be named using Tamil language.
