Militants shot at a civilian in Eidgah area of Srinagar, and in a separate attack in southern Kashmir’s Bijbeheara, a police officer (ASI) has been shot at.
Slain civilian has been identified as Rouf Ahmad Khan (45), while as police officer was critically injured.
Police officials told News 24 that militants fired upon the civilian Rouf Ahmad Khan of Mirjanpora Nawa Kadal area of srinagar outside his home, he was immediately shifted to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead said officials.
J&KPolice ASI also succumbed to injuries on way to Srinagar hospital.
Militant outfit TRF claims responsibility for both the killings.
The twin attacks took place in just 40 minutes of time at Srinagar and Bijbihara area Anantnag, meanwhile security forces have launched search operation at both the places to nab the attacker militants.
