The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has introduced a new program to prevent parents from abandoning newborns or children under the age of one at various locations due to personal reasons.
Issuing a statement, the NCPA said measures have been taken to introduce Infant Receiving Windows at the Children’s ward of 09 main hospitals in 09 Provinces.
The NCPA has also commenced investigations into various complaints received thus far with the intention of completing the process soon.
Special operations will also be launched to immediately arrest individuals accused of child abuse.
The NCPA further said the drafting of the Complaint Update and Management Digital System -(CUMS) has been completed.
