Last night (07 March) two unknown persons who rode on a motorcycle shot a person in Fortila area of Wellampitiya Police Domain and ran away.
The Police Media Division stated that the injured person has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.The injured is a 28-year-old.
Police suspects that a T-56 firearm was used in the shooting and that the shooting was directed by a person overseas.
Wellampitiya Police is conducting further investigations on this matter.
