The 24-year-old removed Usman Ghani and completed his tally of 100 wickets against Afghanistan in the 3rd T20I at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Shadab first dismissed Ibrahim Zadran to scalped his 99th wicket in T20Is, hence surpassing Shahid Afridi’s tally of 98 wickets.

He was not done yet as he also trapped Mujeeb ur Rahman for lbw and registered total off 101 wickets.

Alhamdulilah, It is an honour to become the first Pakistani men’s cricketer to take 100 T20I wickets. We couldn’t win the series but these youngsters will be future stars and make Pakistan proud InshAllah. #PakistanZindabad
