DSI Tyres recently won a Silver Award in rubber tyre and accessories sector, extra-large category, at the Annual NCE Export Awards 2022. The gala award ceremony, organized by the National Chamber of Exporters was held at Shangri La Hotel, Colombo and Mr. Kavinda Rajapaksa, the Managing Director of DSI Tyres received the award. DSI Tyres was founded over three decades ago and is a leader in the manufacture of tyres for bicycles, motorcycles, three-wheeler, and industries. It is also known for its other rubber-based products and bicycles.
The company has also won many quality certifications including ISO 9001:2015, INMETRO Certification, SLS, Tanzania Bureau of Standards, E4 Marking and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). In the wake of the foreign currency shortages, DSI Tyres increased the supply of products to the domestic market while achieving its export goals. In the last few years, the international demand for DSI Tyres has also greatly increased. The company also places great emphasis on in its social responsibilities as well as ethics. The attempts it made to ensure the wellbeing of its work force during the pandemic as well as during the current economic crisis has been commended by many. DSI Tyres also made several innovations with regards to tyres and accessories. DSI Tyres are exported to over 85 destinations in six continents. The company has been continuously commended at the NCE Awards and Presidential Awards.
