Pre-trial conference against ‘Wele Suda’ on December 9

The case filed against drug kingpin Gampola Vidanage Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda who is currently serving a death sentence, for the alleged possession of firearms, was fixed for pre-trial-conference on December 9 by the Colombo High Court.

The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Navaratne Marasinghe and the Judge ordered prosecution witnesses including the OIC of Boralesgamuwa Police to appear before court on that day.

The Attorney General filed a case against Wele Suda for possession of a T56 firearm and a revolver on or around April 24, 2006 in the Boralesgamuwa area. This case was filed under two charges related to committing an offense punishable under the Penal Code under the Gun Ordinance Act.
