A person has been shot dead in Middeniya, Sathosmatagama area yesterday (01) night.
The deceased is a 47-year-old resident of Sathosmatagama area.
The police said that the deceased person was shot at around 9.30 last night (01) while he was going to his house on a motorcycle.
Police said the deceased was accused of shooting and killing a person in 2017.
