The Sevanagala Police OIC who is in hiding for attempting to molest and rape an apprentice female police constable, had allegedly also sneaked into the police women’s quarters wearing a sarong at night.
Police information revealed that instead of taking proper action against the this officer, the police women officers who were in the barrack were transferred to other police stations by higher officers after coming to know about the incident.
Even in the incident of alleged molestation case, investigations conducted by the Children and Women’s Bureau have revealed that the higher police officers have only transferred the female trainee officer concerned to another police station and no proper action had been taken regarding the police officer involved.
