More than Rs 50 crore in cash and 5 kg gold were found in the ED investigation from Arpita’s house. But the surprising thing is that her mother is living in abject poverty.
Arpita Mukherjee’s mother lives in their ancestral house just a few kilometers from Kolkata. This house is completely dilapidated.
Cash queen Arpita Mukherjee’s ancestral house is in the Belghoria area of North 24 Parganas. Here her mother Minati Mukherjee lives alone. The ancestral house is about 50 years old. It has become very dilapidated.
Arpita’s elderly and sick mother does not have any luxury items in this house. A world away from the luxurious life that her daughter was enjoying, Arpita’s mother lacks basic facilities.
Arpita has arranged for two house help to take care of her ailing mother, who take care of her food, water and other needs. According to the people of the area, Arpita sometimes used to come in a car to meet her mother. But she never stayed for long.
