Cricket never stops amusing the fans and one such moment came for England captain Ben Stokes on third day of the first Test against New Zealand.

When the Kiwis were patting the back of Colin de Grandhomme for bowling out Captain stokes, a surprise was showered on the hosts.

was walking back to the pavilion, utterly disappointed with his own performance as he had only scored a single run in 18 deliveries, when he took a U-turn from the boundary. 

The incident happened in 27th over when England was chasing 277. The hosts had lost 4 wickets in 26.3 overs and garnered mere 76 runs. The fourth ball of the over went straight to the wickets, hitting the stumps and leaving England in despise.

In the cut-throat game, Stokes got very disappointed after getting out like this and started returning to the pavilion. On his way to the pavilion, the expression of despair was clearly visible on his face, but as soon as he reached the boundary, the umpire told him that it was a no ball. The third umpire showed in the review that Colin’s foot was far ahead of the crease while bowling.

Colin’s mistake had given Stokes another chance at the crease and thus, the elated Stokes returned to the pitch. At the same time, the audience sitting cheering England also welcomed them with applause.
