Delhi Metro services severely disrupted, thousands stranded on Blue Line

New Delhi: 

Train services running on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro connecting to were severely disrupted on Thursday morning. However, Delhi Metro rail services were running normally on all other routes.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted, “Delay in services between Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City / Vaishali. Service normal on all other lines. “

DMRC operates train services on the following routes: Red Line, Yellow Line, Blue Line (Noida / Vaishali), Green Line, Violet Line, Pink Line, Magenta Line, Gray Line, Airport Express Orange Line and Rapid Metro RMGL.

In view of the huge crowd for the T20 cricket match between India and South Africa to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Ferozeshah Kotla Ground, New Delhi on June 9 (Thursday), the Delhi Metro on all routes (except Airport Express line). Has made minor changes to the timing of his last train. The stadium is adjacent to Delhi Gate / ITO metro stations on Raja Nahar Singh Corridor (Violet Line) from Violet Line i.e. Kashmiri Gate.

Given the fear of sudden congestion at these nearby metro stations after the match, Delhi Metro will make additional train journeys (approximately 48) by increasing the time of its last train on all lines by about 30-45 minutes. This will allow visitors to easily reach their destination via Metro.
