Citroen C3: Launch date, engine specifications, mileage

New Delhi:

French car manufacturer Groupe PSA arrived in India and its subsidiary Citroen introduced the first C5 Aircross. However, the premium mid-size SUV is targeted at the consumer niche segment. The company, from now on, intends to use a large market-driven approach that will see the introduction of budget vehicles.

The first on this list will be the C3 which has been under development for almost two years. The mini crossover first appeared worldwide a few months back in September 2021 and was later sold on the South American market a few weeks ago.

The French car manufacturer is now preparing to bring a new hatchback to the Indian coast. Citroen C3 Launch Day Citroen officially unveiled the C3 in India, at a national media driving event taking place in Goa at the moment.

At the event, they announced that the launch of C3 will take place on July 20, and the official booking of C3 will take place from July 1st. A crossover will be built at the CK Birla center in Thiruvallur near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It will also be the first of three newcomers to India as part of the C-Cubed version. The cross-hatch will be based on the Common Modular Platform (CMP) with more than 90 percent of locations.

Coming to its exterior style, the C3 gets the right crossover style with bits of both SUV and hatchback styles evident in its design. It features a two-line front chrome signature that comes out on each side of the logo and combines different LED and DRL headlights.

The Exterior Design Front end of the C3 looks very dark thanks to the front muscular bumper with a large faux skid plate that gives the SUV-ish appeal. This SUV-like look becomes even more striking when one goes to the side of the profile and finds a boxy silhouette, thick plastic sheets on arch wheels and doors and roof rails. The back looks very low with LED taillamps making it look like a hatchback.

The interior of the cabinet is very well maintained and minimalist that fits well with the two treatments offered. The expected 2,540mm wheelbase will make it the best in the less than 4-meter section of passenger cars.

This should translate into an open space inside the cabinet, especially in the second row seats. Engine Features: 12V, low power steering wheel. , auto climate control and more. Safety will be ensured by dual airbags, rear parking sensors and ABS with EBD.

The Powering Citroen C3 will be a 1.2 liter petrol engine or a 1.2 liter turbo engine. The former will incorporate alternative power, bringing 82 PS with 5 speed MT. The high variant will get a very powerful turbo unit, delivering 110 PS / 190 Nm with 6 speed MT.

The Citroen C3 automatic transmission is not expected to be present when launched. The engine was expected to have Flexi-fuel technology which means it can run on petrol, ethanol or fossil fuels. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. It could be just a petrol engine. C3 size – 3981 mm long, 1733 mm wide, 1586 mm high and wheelbase 2540 mm.
