You will get interest for a period of 21 years

The advantage of this scheme is that you do not have to deposit money for the entire 21-year period. Money can only be deposited for 15 years after the account is opened, but interest will continue to accrue on that money until the daughter reaches the age of 21.

How much interest will you get?

The government is currently providing account holders on this scheme with compound interest at a rate of 7.6 percent. After three months, the government reviews the scheme’s interest rates.

What is the smallest amount of money you can invest?

Let us tell you that you must invest a minimum of Rs 250 and a maximum of Rs 150,000 in this scheme. This is a popular central government scheme that allows you to set aside 15 lakhs for your daughter.

This is how you will get Rs 15 lakhs

In this government scheme, if you invest only Rs 3000 per month, or Rs 36000 per year, you will receive interest at a rate of 7.6 percent compounding. As a result, after 21 years, or maturity, this amount will be around Rs 15,22,221.

Benefits of Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme

You can only invest in this scheme if you have a girl child aged 0 to 10 years.
