An online sex racket has been busted in Mussoorie. The police have arrested five people including two call girls while busting an inter-state online prostitution gang. It is being said that girls were called from outside for sex and this business was being done while staying in hotels here.
Two of the men arrested are from Haryana and one from West Bengal, while one of the women is from Delhi and the other from Aligarh in the north. Police have also recovered a car, an SUV and other items. The gang used to hunt tourists by contacting them through WhatsApp and online site Just Dial. According to the police, the women were taken to the hideout from the recovered cars.
The police were getting frequent complaints of prostitution in the city. In this regard, a team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit Dehradun and SOG was entrusted with the task of busting the racket. Both the teams came to know that some people of Haryana are running WhatsApp and online sex racket by bringing women from outside states for prostitution in the name of spa service. On the information of the informer, the police raided the hotel near Bhatta Falls on Dehradun-Mussoorie road and caught these people red-handed.
According to the police, many tourists visiting Mussoorie used to settle the deal by sending photos of girls online and the gang used to take online payment from the customers. After this the girls were sent to the designated place through cars and SUVs. According to the police, by registering on Just Dial in the name of Spaservice, he started the work of prostitution through girls.
