The atmosphere around Gyanvapi had become tense regarding Friday prayers. Even after the appeal of the
Intezamiya Masjid Committee
, a large number of Namazis reached the gate of the mosque. However, both the Masjid Committee and the police appealed to the people to go to another mosque.
Sources said that water has been arranged in drums due to the sealing of the ‘wuzukhana’. There can be trouble due to the arrival of more people, so there has been a ban on the arrival of Namazis, due to which they are angry. However, there is a heavy police force here.
‘Have asked people to perform ‘Wuzu’ at home before coming to masjid: Masjid Committee
A member of the Intezamiya Masjid Committee said, “We have asked people to perform ‘wuzu’ at home before coming to the mosque. However, we have also made alternative arrangements for those in need of water.”
It is to be noted that the ‘wuzukhana’ has been sealed on the orders of the court.

Allahabad High Court adjourns hearing till July 6
The Allahabad High Court on Friday adjourned the hearing in Varanasi’s Kashi-Viswanath Mandir-Gyanvapi Masjid case till July 6. The Allahabad High Court has to decide whether the case filed 31 years ago in the district court of Varanasi in 1991 can now be heard or not. The Muslim side says that under the Central Religious Worship Act 1991, a case cannot be filed against any other religious place except Ayodhya.
‘Today’s order will have to be followed by everybody’
Advocate Vishal Singh, appointed by the court on the Gyanvapi Masjid survey report, said, “The order passed by the Supreme Court today has to be followed by all. I have submitted my detailed report to the court along with photo and video evidence.”
