Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have tied the knot today. The couple, who has been dating for over four years now, are now officially husband and wife. While the pictures of the couple are yet to be shared, various moments from their wedding are going viral on the internet. In the recent, it has been reported that the couple got all emotional along with the producer and director of Brahmastra. According to an India Today report, Ranbir, Alia, Ayan, and Karan exchanged a few words ahead of the ceremony. An eyewitness also told the publication that Ayan got emotional when he saw Alia dressed up as a bride.
An insider close to the development informed the publication, “Apparently, Karan always dreamt of this day when he would give away Alia, who he considers his daughter as a bride, and this was the moment the four of them got emotional. As soon as Ayan and Karan arrived, they rushed to meet Alia and gave her a hug. Ayan got extremely emotional seeing Alia dressed up as the bride and Karan hugged all of them. Ayan was later spotted in a long conversation with Ranbir’s father-in law Mahesh Bhatt.”
A day ahead of the big day, Karan and Ayan had penned heartwarming warming posts for Alia and Ranbir, along with a teaser of Brahmastra song Kesariya. For the unversed, Brahmastra is a three-part trilogy starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in leading role. A fusion of mythology and science, the pan-India franchise has been directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. First instalment of the film, titled Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva is scheduled to hit theatres on September 9. Along with Ranbir and Alia, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles.
