Maharashtra: Will recite Hanuman Chalisa in front of Matoshree, says MLA Navneet Rana

Mumbai:

Politics has intensified in Maharashtra over the loudspeaker controversy. MP Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana have announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa by sitting in front of Matoshree outside Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackerey’s house.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has sent notices to Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana under Section-149. On the other hand, the Shiv Sainiks have challenged the Rana couple to reach Matoshree and show them.

Navneet Rana had announced to start Hanuman Chalisa recitation outside Matoshree at 9 am today. At the same time, in view of the danger after this dispute, the central government has provided Y category security to Navneet Rana.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena fiercely attacked MP Navneet Rana. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that this is a stunt under the guise of religion. He called Navneet and her MLA husband ‘Bunty-Babli’.

Who is Navneet Rana?

Over the past decade, Rana-Ravi Rana and Navneet Kaur have emerged as one of the most powerful couples in Rana-Maharashtra politics. Both the Independent MLAs from Vidarbha, Ravi is a three-time Independent MLA from Badnera, while Navneet is a first-time MP from Amravati (SC) seat.

The couple runs the Yuva Swabhiman Party. Ravi has won the Maharashtra Assembly elections from Badnera in 2009, 2014 and 2019. Between 2014 and 2019, Ravi was close to the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government run by then chief minister and now leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis.

In 2019, when Maharashtra saw a fractured mandate, Ravi tried to garner the support of independents and small groups for the BJP, which was not entirely successful.
