Karauli communal violence: 'Failure of law and order of Gehlot govt,' says AIMIM chief Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday spoke on the Karauli violence and said that the incident is a failure of law and order of Ashok Gehlot-led state government. He said Muslim community 

Owaisi was addressing the media at the Jaipur airport where he said, “It is a failure of law and order of the Gehlot government in Rajasthan.”

“We thought he will learn from the previous incidents. It’s a great loss, targeted violence against the Muslim community needs to be addressed. The government should take responsibility,” said Owaisi.

Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been imposed in the Karauli district of Rajasthan after stones were pelted during a ‘Shobha Yatra’ procession on April 2. 

After which, the state police arrested 46 people and detained seven others for interrogation following a stone-pelting incident during a religious procession in Karauli on Saturday.

The administration has also prohibited any objectionable sloganeering and singing or demonstration of similar activities.
