: India recorded a jump of nearly 90 per cent in daily Covid cases on Monday compared to Sunday as the country registered 2,183 infections, according to the Health Ministry data. This is the first time in nearly a month that the country has registered more than 2,000 cases in a day (2,075 cases were registered on March 19).
According to the Ministry, 214 deaths deaths have been confirmed in the last twenty four hours. The death toll rose to 5,21,965.
India also registered 1,985 recoveries and 214 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry.
