2021 has been great for electric vehicles. During this period, not only did the sales of electric vehicles increase in India, but one after the other, many new cars were also launched in the Indian market. Now many electric vehicles are going to hit the Indian market in 2022 and the line includes companies ranging from Tata to BMW and Volvo.

Altroz to get an electric variant

Sold out before launch Another electric vehicle from Tata Motors, the most popular brand of electric vehicles in the country, may arrive in 2022. After launching the electric model of its sedan Tigor, the company can now also bring the Altroz EV. It is expected to deliver a range of 250KM on a single charge. It will have the company’s well-known Ziptron technology.

Volvo’s car to run 418KM

Volvo this year has  disclosed the Volvo XC40 recharge, its all-electric car, but its deliveries got delayed. The sales in the Indian market can start in the first quarter of 2022. It is expected to come with a range of 418km on a single charge. The car can be accelerated from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds.

Mini Cooper sold out ahead of launch

BMW Group’s Mini India to launch its first EV Mini Cooper SE this year. The company will be bringing this car in Indian market as a CBU (

Completely Built Unit)

which can run up to 270 km on a single charge. The boking starts from Rs 1 lakh. The units have already been booked ahead the launch.

BMW to bring an electric sedan

The company might bring BMWi4 in two variants, both of these models are expected to be very powerful. This will be the electric version of the company’s 4 Series Grand Coupe, recently the company also launched the first electric SUV.

Mahindra to step up electric intervent

Mahindra might launch its new electric car in the Indian market too. Mahindra is already focusing on the electric car segment and is looking forward to launch the eKUV100 in March 2022. It is expected to be one of the cheapest electric car in India.
