Ganjam (Odisha):
A bus that was carrying nearly 50 pilgrims from Odisha’s Puri was overturned. At least 25 people were injured in the accident.
The police informed that bus was travelling towards Tamil Nadu from Puri when it overturned and crashed on the highway near Rambha in the Ganjam district. As many as four people have survived major injuries out of the 25 injured.
A project of highway widening is underway near the accident spot.
Soon after the word spreaded about the accident, Ganjam district magistrate and Chhatrapur sub-collector visited the spot. A rescue squad was also called in for the injured.
