Rice and other food items will be sold at concessionary prices at the Sathosa Outlets during the festive season, said the Trade Minister Dr Bandula Gunawardena.
Speaking at a press conference today, the Minister said Nadu and Kekulu rice are being sold at Sathosa Outlets for a price less than Rs 100. “We try to provide goods to the public at concessionary prices with the Government intervention. If there is no Sathosa Outlet near your house, you can dial 1998 and get the goods delivered to your doorstep,” he said.
He also added that the quantity of food that each consumer is allowed to buy at Sathosa at a time would also be increased.
