In viral video: BJP MP & WFI President gets inside ring, lands blows on young wrestler

In a shocking incident, BJP MP from Kaiserganj, Uttar Pradesh, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was caught on camera slapping a young wrestler during a National Wrestling Championship at Shaheed Ganpat Rai Indoor Stadium in Khel village in Ranchi, Jharkhand. 

In a video, Brij Bhushan, who is also the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), was in Ranchi for the Under-15 National Wrestling Championships. He was invited as the chief guest for the first day of the competition.

Brij Bhushan got on the ring and started slapping a wrestler from his state in the first round of the competition. 

As per reports, the wrestler was found to be above 15 years during the age verification and was stopped from taking part in the national competition. 

The wrestler registered a complained and got on to the ring. He then started arguing with the WFI president and was adamant in taking part in the competition.

After repeated attempts of pacifying the wrestlers, Brij Bhushan lost his cool and slapped the wrestler in front of the other competitors and spectators.

Several wrestlers demanded an apology from the WFI president. 

For the unversed, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh became the WFI President in 2012.
