16 people died and three reported missing, while 270,912 people were affected in several districts of the country due to adverse weather conditions, stated the Disaster Management Centre (DMC)
Over 950 houses had been fully or partially damaged, while 270,912 people belonging to 67,564 families in ten districts have been affected due to the adverse weather prevailing in several parts of the country, according to the DMC.
“People in the Gampaha, Ratnapura, Colombo, Puttalam, Kalutara, Nuwara Eliya, Kegalle, Galle, Kurunegala and Kandy districts have been affected by the rains, floods, landslides and winds,” the DMC said
