Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces, stated the Meteorology Department.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in North-western, Central, Uva, North-central and Eastern provinces during the afternoon or night.
Heavy rainfalls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Mathara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
