Parliament Secretary General Dhammika Dasanayake yesterday stated that Secretaries to Five Government Ministries received the approval of the Committee on High Posts recently in Parliament.
Approval was granted at the Committee on High Posts Chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena on April 23. Anura Dissanayake as the Secretary to the Ministry of Irrigation, Sirinimal Perera as the Secretary to the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing and Maj. Gen. Jagath Alwis as the Secretary to the Public Security Ministry received the approval of the Committee for their respective posts.
Committee approval was also granted to Bhadrani Jayawardena as the Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and R.A.K.K.Ranawaka as the Secretary to the Ministry of Lands and Land Development. “Approval has also been granted to appoint Air Chief Marshal Sumangala Dias as the new Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Italy,” said the Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake.
