Female doctors and nurses are playing a major role in mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic here and abroad. As the world celebrates the International Women’s Day on Monday under the theme ““Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”, our photographer captured this scene at the Blood Bank at Colombo National Hospital where Dr. Ajitha Gamage and her team of nurses are seen analysing the blood samples of patients.
