Medical equipment worth Rs.30 million to be provided to Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital

The Anuradhapura Rotary Club, together with the North-Central Provincial Health Department, has planned to provide medical equipment worth Rs.30 million to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital on Wednesday.

The donation is to take place at the Provincial Health Department’s new building, under the patronage of North-Central Province (NCP) Governor Mahipala Herath. Health Services State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana is to attend the event as its guest of honour.

The medical equipment has been provided by the ‘Donations in Kind’ organisation in Footscray, Victoria, Australia. The donation includes 45 foldable hospital beds, stretchers, electric examination coaches, and surgical tools.

Health Services Provincial Director Dr. Palitha Bandara and Anuradhapura Rotary Club President Vishwa Warusavithana are organising the event.
