Eighty three curfew violators arrested, 76 vehicles seized

Eighty three persons were arrested for violating quarantine curfew yesterday, DIG Ajith Rohana said.

He said that 596 persons were arrested and 76 vehicles were taken into custody so far.

Quarantine curfew is in 18 police divisions in the Gampaha District until further notice.

He requested the persons in the curfew areas to support the Police and health authorities to control the pandemic, while adhering to the COVID-19 health guidelines.

DIG Ajith Rohana said that legal actions will be taken against those who violate the quarantine curfew.
