A youth has died after being hit by a car near the Kiripedda Junction in Karandeniya along the Ambalangoda- Elpitiya main road yesterday.
The car, which had attempted to overtake a lorry, had continued plying in a reckless manner disregarding a bend in the road.
A motorbike which was travelling in the opposite direction had been hit by the car just prior to the bend, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist. (NewsWire)
