The Education Ministry will commence two education television channels from April 20 in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.
Accordingly students can utilize these two channels, which will telecast educational programmes both in Sinhala and Tamil mediums.
“Having concerned the present pandemic situation the Government took steps to start these two education channels from the coming 20th to assist students with their studies,” the Minister said. This will be a boon to all students especially those who have no computers to access e-learning modules.
The Minster pointed out that parents are responsible to guide students to continue their studies even during the pandemic situation. No room will be left for hampering educational activities of students and therefore the two channels will be a guiding light for students to continue their studies during this vacation.
The two channels will telecast programmes suitable from primary level to advanced levels.
