Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said that everyone is duty bound to assist the ongoing process launched to conquer the Coronavirus pandemic.
“No one should damage the collective approach to eradicate Covid 19 outbreak and it is the responsibility of everyone to give the fullest cooperation to this effort,” the Minister said. The Minister made these remarks recently in Matara at a progress review meeting of the coronavirus controlling programme implemented in the district.
At the meeting the Minister expressed his gratitude to the entire state service including the health sector officials and security forces personnel and the police as well for working to free the country from the deadly pandemic, which has become a threat to the entire world. He added that the entire country has to be converted to a garden by a “Waga Sangramaya” (Cultivation Battle) aiming to obtain self-sufficiency in food.
“Once we overcome the coronavirus pandemic we have to focus on the Waga Sangramaya,” the Minister noted.
