Prevailing heavy showery condition in the Northern half of the island is expected to reduce to some extent from tomorrow (11th), said the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Eastern, Uva, North-central, Central and Northern provinces and in Hambanthota district.

Fairly heavy showers about 75-100 mm are likely at some places in Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts.
Fairly heavy showers about 50-75 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Mullaitivu districts.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
