A 19-year-student of C. W. W. Kannangara Maha Vidyalaya succumbed to his injures when his motorcycle collided with a bus on Mathugama Weliketiya Road on Monday.
He died upon admission to Nagoda Hospital.
He had gained entrance to follow an Engineering course at the Moratuwa University, parents said. Mathugama Police took the driver of the bus into custody to be produced before the Mathugama Magistrate.
