Income of the Yala and the Udawalawa sanctuaries have increased by several folds. The Yalan National Sanctuary has earned Rs. 700.58 million in 2017, while the Udawalawa National Park has earned Rs. 358.44 million.
Over 397.122 tourists have arrived at the Yala National Sanctuary last year. Of them, 207.927 were locals and 189,95 were foreign tourists.
