One person was arrested in Wellampitiya, Kolonnawa for having 1,475 Yaba pills worth of Rs.2.1 million.
The arrest was made following a raid conducted by officers attached to Organised Crime Prevention Division .The suspect was identified as a 35-year-old resident of Kolonnawa.
He was produced to the Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Those tablets contain a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine.The most common names for yaba are crazy medicine and Nazi speed.
Yaba is an illegal drug because it contains methamphetamine.Yaba is sold as tablets.
