Little known stories of Old Ceylon by Hugh Karunanayake was launched last Monday at the Dutch Burgher Union in Colombo.
The author flew over from Melbourne on a Royal – Thomian charter for the big match earlier this month and took the opportunity to launch his most readable anthology while he was here. Many of the stories in the book have been published in the Ceylankan, the journal of the Ceylon Society of Australia and reprinted in the Sunday Island.
The book has been published by Sarasavi Publishers and is now available at Rs. 1,600. The octogenarian author plans to publish a further volume.
