While the film’s box office saw a dip for a few days, it witnessed a significant increase in its first weekend. TJMM grossed Rs 16 crore on its first Saturday in theatres. It increased by at least 75%. Boney Kapoor made his acting debut in the romantic comedy directed by Luv Ranjan.

The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer grossed Rs 15 crore on its first day in India. It stayed consistent for the next three days, generating Rs 10 crore in a single day. TJMM, on the other hand, witnessed a big increase in its collection on Day 4, which was the film’s first Saturday. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar earned Rs 16 crore on March 11, according to preliminary estimates. As a result, the four-day total collection is now Rs 52.59 crore. Nevertheless, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar had an overall Hindi occupancy of 20.94% on Saturday, March 11.
