Skipper Sadeera Samarawickrama scored an unbeaten 101 in 113 balls with 7 fours while leg spinner Dilum Sudeera had fine figures of 4 for 39 as Jaffna recorded a 3-wicket win over Kandy in their National Super League 50 over cricket fixture played at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Kandy led by Sahan Arachchige scored 227 in 49.3 overs while Jaffna reached their target in 48.4 overs with 3 wickets in hand and skipper Sadeera Samarawickrama was leading from the front with an unbeaten century.
Meanwhile, the Dambulla team led by Minod Bhanuka recorded their second consecutive win when they defeated Galle by 62 runs in their limited-over game played at Pallekele Stadium yesterday.
