Chandigarh: Tajinder Singh, close aide of absconding pro-khalistani preacher Amritpal singh has been arrested on Thursday. He worked as a gunman to Waris Punjab De chief.
When the police did investigation, it was found that he did not hold any gun licence. He was seen holding weapons in many social media posts.
As per Punjab Police, he was involved in the Anjala Incident.
“A person identified as Tajinder Singh Gill has been arrested. He used to work as a gunman with Amritpal Singh. Various pictures of him holding weapons can be seen on social media. When the records were checked, it was found that he did not have a gun license. FIR was registered against him u/s 188 of IPC. He was also involved in the Ajnala incident. Further probe underway,” said Harsimrat Singh, Khanna DSP.
Last month thousands of supporters broke police barricades in badged into Anjala Police station to free Lovepreet Singh, a close associate of Amritpal Singh.
