No agreement for continuous strike - NPP

National People’s Power (NPP) Executive Committee member K. D. Lal Kantha on Monday said that there is no agreement at this time for a continuous strike. He was speaking at a programme held in Colombo by the trade unions alliance of the opposition political parties and organizations. ‘At the moment, we fully support the strike to be held today”, he said.

He said that he does not agree for a continuous strike at this point of time. Lal Kantha said that a discussion should be held with the authorities concerned after having conducted the strike on March 15. “We should resort to trade union action again based on the authorities’ response”, he said.
