Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway box office collection Day 6: Despite the moving storyline, Rani Mukerji’s film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway did not do well at the box office. The film is inspired by the true story of Sagarika Chakraborty, whose children were abducted by Norwegian authorities. 

Box Office Collection

The film earned Rs 12.7 crore on day 1. The film earned Rs 2.50 crore on its second day, totalling Rs 3.77 crore. On its 6th day on March 22, the film experienced a sharp decline after only grossing Rs 1.45 crore. 

Thus, the total cash collection in the country now stands at Rs 9.87 crore. These are not impressive numbers. Meanwhile, the film had an overall share of 14.18% in Hindi on March 22nd.

About the film

A mother fights an entire nation for custody of her children in the film. Jim Sarbh and Anirban Bhattacharya also star in the film. The film was directed by Ashima Chibber and released on March 17.

The film is based on Sagarika Chakraborty’s autobiography titled The Journey of a Mother. Sagarika’s children were taken from her by the Norwegian Childcare system (Barnevernet) in 2011.
