MP Borewell case: Rescue operation underway to save 7-year-old child

MP Borewell case: A 7-year-old boy trapped in 60-foot-deep borewell in Vidisha district of Madhya Prasesh. (MP Borewell case) He accidently fell into the borewell while playing.

Three teams of the SDRF and one team of the NDRF were on the spot and rescue effort was underway. Oxygen is being provided inside the borewell where the child is trapped, according to Vidisha Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sameer Yadav. However, no one has yet been able to communicate with the child.

“In Vidisha, an 7-year-old child fell into a borewell that was 60 feet deep and became trapped at a depth of 43 feet. There are three SDRF teams and one NDRF team on the scene. Within the borewell, the child is being watched over and given oxygen. Food hasn’t been provided to him yet, and we haven’t been able to speak with him either “Yadav said.

According to him, the incident occurred at 11 am, and the rescuers saw movement inside the borewell, indicating that the child was still alive.

Lokesh Ahirwar, was playing near by the borewell when he accidently fell into the narrow hole around 11 am at Kherkhedi Pathar village under Lateri tehsil in the district, offcial informed.

According to Lateri sub-divisional magistrate Harshal Choudhary, a rescue team responded to the villagers’ call for help, arrived on the scene, and started working to securely free the youngster.

A JCB equipment (an earthmover) is currently being used to securely extract the child, and a camera was also dropped down the borewell to further monitor the boy’s condition, he added.
