MinisterKanchana meets with CPC and CPSTL trade unions

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has met with the members of trade unions fromCeylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) today (14 March).

According to a Twitter post by the minister today, discussions were held regarding retail suppliers, new refineries, financial & Human Resource audits, termination of collective agreements & proposals for performance based incentives & promotions.

This discussion was held in the context of a scheduled trade union strike tomorrow (15 March).

It should also be noted that few days ago (10 March) Minister Kanchana informed that collective agreement was entered with trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC). According to which, 25% salary increment every three years, annual bonuses, allowances and other benefits were to be terminated.
