Minister says CPC, CEB Collective Agreements won’t be renewed

The 25 percent salary increment for the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) employees agreed to in the Collective Agreements entered by both these institutions every three years will be done away and will definitely be restructured in the future,” Power and Energy Minister Kanchna Wijesekera said in Parliament yesterday.

According to the Collective Agreements entered into by these two institutions, the salaries of their employees have to be increased by 25 percent every three years.

These conditions will be removed from the Collective Agreements when these two institutions have entered these agreements in the future,” he added.
