Mahindra XUV400 vs XUV300: Which one is better and why?

New Delhi: Mahindra has started the delivery of its electric SUV car XUV400. The starting price of which is Rs. 15.99 lakhs ex-showroom. This car is the electric version of Mahindra’s ICE engine compact SUV XUV300. Apart from electric and petrol, these two cars are different from each other in what respects. Price 

The price of Mahindra XUV ranges from Rs 15.99 Lakh to Rs 18.99 Lakh. At the same time, the company sells its Mahindra XUV300 at a price of Rs 8.41 lakh to Rs 14.07 lakh ex-showroom. The XUV400 competes with the Tata Nexon EV Prime, Nexon EV Max and the Hyundai Kona.

Dimension & Design

The electric XUV400 is longer than the XUV300, with a length of 4.2 metres. Also, it gets 378 liters of boot space, which is 121 liters more than the XUV300. The XUV400 gets an X patterned grille with copper colored accents that houses the logo. Whereas, the headlight unit fitted in both has been kept the same. The tail-light cluster has also been kept in its back side.

Interior

Talking about the cabin, both the cars are almost identical. But black color combination has been given in XUV300. So the XUV400 gets an all-black interior theme with copper accents around the volume, AC controls, gear lever and air vents. At the same time, the logo present in it has also been given copper finish. Apart from this, blue accents are also seen on the seats in XUV400, which is not there in XUV300.

Power

Talking about the powertrain of both the cars, the XUV400 gets a 39.2 kWh battery pack which sends 150hp and 310Nm of torque to the front axle. Which makes it more powerful than the XUV300. While the XUV300 generates 117hp power on diesel and 110hp power on petrol.
