New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced two new colors for its off-roader SUV Thar 4×4, which include Everest White and Blazing Bronze. The Blazing Bronze was earlier available only with the RWD variant of the Thar. While the white color is completely new for this car. According to the BASF Color Report 2022 of Automotive OEM Coatings, white is the most preferred color choice for cars across the globe including India.
No other changes
Seeing the popularity of white color, the company has also introduced Thar in white color. But the wheel arches, black wing mirrors and roof, bumper and plastic cladding of this car will be kept black. Apart from the new colour, no other changes have been made to this SUV.
Now available in 6 colors
With the addition of two new colours, Mahindra Thar is now available in six paint schemes. Which includes Red Rage, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Aqua Marine, Blazing Bronze and Everest White. The company had increased the prices of the 4×2 version of this SUV earlier this month by Rs. 50,000. Currently, the ex-showroom price of Mahindra Thar is between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 16.49 lakh.
How much is waiting?
The waiting period for the rear wheel drive variant of the Mahindra Thar has crossed 17 months by March 2023. On the other hand, booking the Thar 4×4 version will only take you 3-4 weeks for delivery.
With whom is there competition?
The Mahindra Thar SUV competes with the Force Gurkha in the country, while Maruti’s 5 door Jimny is also coming soon to compete with it. The Force Gurkha is powered by a 2.6 L diesel engine.
